CLARÍN ARQ

Publication in the architectural argentinean magazine "Clarín  ARQ", August 2016, section "El Taller"

The project is about group housing in a square of a low scale neighbourhood. The proposal should include lofts and houses of 2 and 3 bedrooms, with garden, grill and private parking; shops in the ground floor and 4 work studios, oces or ateliers, for the residents or for external users.

Each one of the houses respond to the number of residents in surface and proportions. The 3 bedroom houses requires a large garden and in this order it is elevated a half level so the house has 3 expansions: a deck for the dining area, a green garden and a cover grill area. The smallest units have two levels, while the lofts have a common private road.

In order to prevent the organical growing of the houses, it has sloping roofs which does not allowed the vertical expansion. This characteristic is not only a solution of internal image, it is also respects the neighbourhood image. This project has a domestic style, being each residence perfectly individualized, while at the same time, they are clearly part of the same group.

GENERAL PICO UNIVERSITY

FREELANCE WORK - 2019

Documentation for the expansion of the winning project for the General Pico University.

The Government of the Province of La Pampa called a National Competition of Preliminary Projects for the realization of a university center in the City of General Pico. The work had to integrate in one block the functions of classrooms, special classrooms, laboratories and flexible industrial space for electromechanical engineering, and the dining and sports functions on another block.
The distinctive look over the city is what allowed the studio to win the first prize. The connection between the two blocks is through a diagonal passage, but the geometry of the city is not broken by this. The facade of the project materializes the limits of the plot.
La Pampa is a place of strong winds, so the extension as a checkerboard intensifies this characteristic by tubing the winds.
Thus, through their patio, like a scar, they reinterpret the free center of the block. Unlike the conceived by Cerdá for Barcelona, where the evolution became a ring built with a green center, this proposal connects this free space with the public space. In this way, it generates a new urban route, enriching the city with a new playful space.

In this project my work was to do the documentation plans, computations, 3D modeling and renders.

CITY OF BUENOS AIRES GOVERNMENT

YOUNG DISTRICT - 2018

We carry out the preliminary project that will go to the Congress and then call for an open contest.

This project is based on the need to create a nightlife pole outside the consolidated city.
From the Urban Planning Direction we recognize the coast of the city as the correct place for develop nightclubs, seeking at the same time to enhance the relationship of the city with the Río de La Plata. An integral project was proposed, which revitalizes the 59 hectares and its 7.6km extension of the north coast of the city.
This change of regulations means a larger afluent of users, which requires a review of connectivity. In this orden we propose the opening of a 6-lane street with Metrobus. By the movement of the road we achieved the extension of the boardwalk to 35m.
From the preliminary draft (opening of a new street, closing of the preexisting one, dimensions of the new constructions over old concessions), it was legislated and, with the bases we realized, it was called to public contest.

In this project my work implied doing the specific plans for the bases of the contest, computations, maps, 3D modeling and renders.

Meditation Center in Rosario
The movement, the sound and the light are protagonists of this proposal. A skein of steel and translucent colored panels contains the main spaces for meditation. In response to the tides of the river, the building moves vertically through a  system of hydraulic pistons.
The access road is curved to follow the cliffs of the ravine and thus organizes the support functions.

CORRIDOR SAN MARTÍN - 2019

We carry out the preliminary project that will go to the Congress and then call for an open contest.

This project starts from the elevation of the San Martín train tracks. Due to the elevation, the development of the lots adjacent to this lane is considered according to the new urban code, in force since 2019.
As a result of the new constructive capacity of the lots to intervene, morphological proposals have been made. The guidelines to design this space had 50% of public space and the insertion of the train station in this block as a requirement. Once decided which proposal was the right one for this section of the city, we proceeded to modelling the site.

In this project in particularly, my work was to compute the constructability of the pre-existing lots, from which I made three proposals for the block of the station. Moreover, I made the design of the curved park, which flows into this sector of the city.
In summary, for this project I made computation, project proposals and the drafts and renders of the development.

CASTAGNINO MUSEUM

3RD PRIZE, NATIONAL COMPETITION - 2017
Team led by Miguel Cocco & Mariano de la Mota

The Government of Santa Fe called a National Competition for Extension and Remodeling of the Castagnino Museum. They were looking for the descongestion of this area and the creation of new spaces, which should have the quality of 21st century museums.

The challenge was to print a new role at the main entrance of the museum and design a new wing that would not downplay the clarity of the original concept. We decided to hold the main entrance as such, with its classic proch, accedes by a majestic stretch of stone stairs.
Our design is structured in a construction of equal height, so it has a proportional relationship with the historical building. Them both are articulated by a glass atrium. We proposed the new extension materialized in a modern, technological, stripped and sustainable language that projects us to the “future”. In turn, the intervention is framed in a controlled, respectful and harmonious role with the existing morphology. This is accomplished by the use of a cream tone marble that merges with the antique palette of colors.
The glazed atrium joins both wings and forms a new social space. There is a secondary public entrance, through an access courtyard. This entrty allows the use of the rest of the museum of the auditorium and the SUM independiently. The atrium og almost 12m height functions as an articulator between the new and the old. It is crosed by bridges on the upper floor to connect the two wings.

Member of the team of architects led by Miguel Cocco and Mariano de la Mota. My work was 3D modeling.

HERNY HOUSE

FREELANCE WORK FOR ARCH. COPREZ - 2017

The plot is located in Reserva Cardales, a country club in Buenos Aires’ outskirts. The owner wanted a unifamiliar house for renting. Since it is not for a particular client, the design is as flexible as it can.
The entrance, of prominent importance by its double height, faces an internal patio. It is showered by natural light from the glass walls of its perimeter. The hall allows independent access to the studio on the ground floor, with its own toilet. The living room has wall windows, in order to connect the interior with the exterior, where the pool takes place. On this floor it is also a service dormitory and the kitchen, which is related with the exterior deck for barbeques (argentinean asados).

On the upper floor are three dormitories. One is a suit with a dressing room and the other two shared bathroom. This side of the house is connected to a terrace by a crystal pasarel that balconies the entrance of the house.

In this project my work was to do the documentation, plans, 3D, renders and construction’s overseen.
